Soccer Mom’s Dream of a Swimming Pool Gets Canned

ALBANY, GA (PRWEB) December 3, 2005 -- When the husband of a south Georgia soccer mom dismissed her dream to build a backyard swimming pool by telling her that she should “can” her idea, that’s exactly what she did.

Drew Aultman, founder and president of Watersall, Inc., developed a purified water skin care product that cools, refreshes and hydrates the skin. Drawing from her education and background in advertising and marketing, Aultman created a fun and unique product that within months spread to stores from coast to coast. “We introduced this product in New York this year,” Aultman said. “Already, we have retailers in over 20 states and close to 100 stores. We are very optimistic about the future.”

Recently, her company partnered with the specialty department store Parisian to launch Splash Cool. “I am thrilled,” Aultman exclaimed. “Parisian, which is owned by Saks Incorporated, is a first rate department store chain.” According to Parisian buyer Jamie Gleason, “Splash Cool is an exciting addition to our cosmetics assortment. It fills a need that many women might not have even realized they had. It is a product that is unique to Parisian and sets us apart from our competition.”

Originally intended to be used for cooling and hydrating hot, thirsty skin at the pool or beach, this simple product has a myriad of additional practical uses. It provides an ultra-fine mist of purified water to gently wash away perspiration and pollutants and restore a neutral pH to skin. It can be used in the office or after exercise. As a way to beat the inevitable dehydration when flying, it makes a great traveling companion. Especially convenient for moms because the water is purified and sterilized, Splash Cool can be used on babies and toddlers for quick clean-ups. The list of uses goes on and on … limited only by the imagination.

Watersall has gone to extraordinary lengths to maintain the purity of its products. “I have sensitive skin, so developing a product that was pure and free of preservatives was especially important to me,” says Aultman. “Water is moisture. The quality of our water exceeds purity standards set forth by the FDA for pharmaceutical-grade water used in the medical industry.” The water is then sterilized to ensure quality and prevent the need for irritating additives and drying preservatives. Often products contain fragrances and alcohol which, of course, aggravate aging dehydrated skin. These products hydrate the skin, which is so vital for maintaining a youthful appearance.

Although Watersall is the only manufacturer in the U.S. of this simple but useful product, European women have used similar products for decades. While traveling recently, Aultman recalls an encounter with a woman from Argentina. “She told me in a charming accent that until seeing my product, she had not been able to find a purified water product in an aerosol can here in the States.” “She was obviously perplexed that this was not a cosmetic staple for American women as it is in other parts of the world.” “We hope to change that,” Aultman said.

Aultman knows her mission in life is to help abused and underprivileged children. For many years she has been a member of a local organization developed to help prevent child abuse and provide temporary shelters for neglected and abused children. When she decided to begin work on the product, she realized that this may be the way to fulfill her goals of doing something major to aid neglected and abused children. Aultman decided to start a foundation funded by profits from Watersall to build homes for abused children and help educate the public. At her mother-in-law’s suggestion, Drew formed a name for the foundation by using a combination of her own children’s names. The Andrew H. Jordan Foundation for Children was born with the hope of Watersall’s success to sponsor and support it.
