Five Time World Champion, Sami Jo Small, Brings Women's Hockey to Hockey.com

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) April 21, 2008 -- Former Olympian Goalie and five time world champion, Sami Jo Small, joins Hockey.com (http://www.hockey.com) today to blog about women's hockey in a twice-weekly column. Small will report on women's hockey tournaments, industry news, profile female hockey players and cover the excitement and frustration of being a female hockey player.

Small says, "I'm thrilled to provide the inside scoop for Hockey.com, a website that wants to draw more attention to women's hockey (http://www.hockey.com/hockey-blogs/general-hockey-news/904-womens-hockey-gets-golden-voice-in-sami-jo-small.aspx)." Hockey.com's goal is to cover hockey from arenas and leagues all over the world -- not just the NHL.

Launched in Beta in early March, Hockey.com is enlisting influential hockey bloggers from around the globe to encompass not only the NHL, but Minor Pro, College, Junior, Amateur, International and Women's hockey.

Tim Raleigh, Hockey.com's COO, says, "Sami Jo is a women's hockey icon and we're grateful to have her on board. We hope to draw a lot of attention to all facets of hockey." Hockey.com re-launches every two weeks with new features including forums and a member blogging network, giving all hockey players, fans and supporters a voice -- including women's hockey players and fans.
