Seattle Sport Sciences Launches SideKick Soccer Machine at NSCAA Convention, Becomes Official Service Provider

Redmond, Wash. (PRWEB) January 10, 2008 -- To coincide with the annual National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention (http://www.nscaa.com), Seattle Sport Sciences (www.SeattleSportSciences.com), Inc., today announced the launch of its SideKick (www.SeattleSportSciences.com)? soccer machine (www.SeattleSportSciences.com), a high-technology training tool designed for use with advanced youth through professional players (www.SeattleSportSciences.com), effective immediately.

"The NSCAA fills a critical need by supporting coaches of all levels in the US, improving the game in the process," said Jeff Alger, president and CEO of Seattle Sport Sciences, Inc. "Our primary customers are coaches, which is also NSCAA's membership base. We are happy to support NSCAA through this program, and to introduce SideKick at the NSCAA Convention."

"SideKick is one of the most exciting training innovations we've seen in quite awhile, and fits very well into our strategic vision of incorporating technology into our membership benefits," said Steve Malone, president of the NSCAA. "We are very pleased that Seattle Sport Sciences is now an NSCAA Official Service Provider."

As part of the agreement, Seattle Sport Sciences will extend to NSCAA members substantial discounts on SideKick (www.SeattleSportSciences.com) and future products. In addition, an even more generous discount is available to attendees at the NSCAA Convention. Details may be found on the company's web site, http://www.seattlesportsciences.com

SideKick is the first soccer machine capable of reproducing any combination of speed, spin and ball trajectory seen in actual play from the world's best players, and it does so with remarkable consistency. The product's useful training range is from 10 to 75 yards - with service ranging from gentle enough for very young players, to speeds and spins associated with top levels of professional play. With SideKick, players are no longer limited by the skill, or availability, of a partner to serve the ball while training. In addition, the productivity gains from using SideKick can be enormous, depending on the skill being trained. In many cases, ten minutes spent using SideKick results in more quality repetitions of a given ball skill than weeks or months of conventional training. It also allows intense training of skills that are otherwise not practical to train. With SideKick, goalkeepers can, for example, repeatedly practice defending the most difficult diving or swerving shots or crosses, and field players can practice highlight-reel first touch skills. SideKick is a high technology product that took four years to develop, with US and foreign patents pending.

"The foundation of the game, and what all players and coaches strive for in training, is brilliance in playing the ball," said Alger. "We designed SideKick to be the ultimate training tool for first-touch ball skills."

SideKick will be showcased in booth 607 during the NSCAA Convention, as well as at this year's new exhibit hall field demonstration sessions on Friday, January 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. EST, and Saturday, January 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST in the Convention Center.
