PrepChamps and D1 Sports Training Partner on Elite High School Football Combines in Nashville and Chattanooga, TN and Huntsville, AL

(PRWEB) November 8, 2007 -- PrepChamps announces its high school football recruiting combine schedule today, partnering with D1 Sports Training complexes throughout the southeast US.

The two companies will kick off their exclusive partnership with a Nashville, TN combine on December 29th, 2007, followed by a January 5th, 2008, combine in Huntsville, AL and a January 26th, 2008, combine in Chattanooga, TN. Athletes can register for these football combines for free by visiting PrepChamps' website, www.prepchamps.com.

The goal for these high school football combines with D1 is to provide athletes the opportunity to showcase their talents and help them gain exposure during their college football recruiting process. And as if a high school athlete needed any more incentive to attend a combine and perform for college coaches and recruiting coordinators, PrepChamps and D1 have made the combines entirely free for high school athletes to attend. Additionally, D1 is offering a pre-combine training package for the athletes prior to the events to help them perform at a higher level.

"We were looking for a 'bricks-and-mortar' partner to assist in putting on combines. We've got the individuals needed to develop and run the combines through PrepChamps Director of Athletics Kevin Fitzgerald, a former strength and conditioning coach for college powerhouses like Notre Dame and Florida State University, but what we really were looking to secure were combine host facilities throughout the US," said PrepChamps CEO Dean Bundschu.

"PrepChamps is a great partner for D1 in helping athletes get recognized and recruited," said D1 CEO and President Will Bartholomew. "At D1, we believe that PrepChamps puts on the best prep combines in the nation. They do a great job at giving individual attention to the athletes to increase their exposure so that they ultimately have a better chance at an athletic scholarship."

For PrepChamps, D1 offered them nothing less than strategically located combine venues throughout the southeast US. With complexes in Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville, TN, along with Greenville, SC and Huntsville, AL, D1 has been expanding by leveraging facility ownership opportunities to current and former professional athletes (the Nashville and Chattanooga facilities are co-owned by NFL great and Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning and the Huntsville location is co-owned by NFL and San Diego Charger quarterback Phillip Rivers).

"Really, at the end of the day, that's all we're doing here anyway," said PrepChamps' Bundschu. "We want to provide opportunities to athletes so that they can go as far as they possibly can; we want to offer them - through our combines and through www.prepchamps.com - only the best chances at getting recognized and getting recruited."

A survey conducted by Aha! Research has found that the 2008 Beijing Olympics official sponsors have enjoyed significant benefits as a result of their involvement. Sponsor brands were shown to have experienced higher brand recommendation and brand attitudes compared with non-sponsor brands. According to estimates, each of the top 12 sponsors of the 2008 Beijing Olympics spent about US$70 million to have their brand associated with this truly global event. Although watched by up to four billion people worldwide, it remains difficult for marketers to assess the impact of sponsorship on their business.
