Fantasy Football Players Report to Training Camp
(PRWEB) July 27, 2007 -- With preseason camps underway for half of NFL teams, fantasy football players are getting into the action with a training camp of their own.
For the first time in the history of fantasy sports, fantasy players are now congregating online in a virtual training camp to learn the ropes and master the intricacies of the game.
www.FantasyTrainingCamp.com , a community-based Web site populated by experts, fans, and beginners, launched today to help fantasy football players win their leagues.
Fantasy football has recently exploded in popularity, and more than 15 million people nationwide will take the fantasy field this season. Each year, millions of beginners participate, and the educational needs of its players have grown along with the game itself.
Fantasy Training Camp offers fantasy players the chance to learn from one another and cultivate their skills before and after the season's kickoff.
The camp is stocked with fantasy football experts who have penned hundreds of pages of theory and cultivated a learning-based community for fantasy football players of all levels.
The site runs on Moodle, a popular open-source software educational platform, more commonly used for distance learning courses by colleges and universities.
"We designed the Fantasy Training Camp to be useful for all levels of fantasy football players," said CJ DeSantis, head coach and founder of the camp. "Our biggest strengths are our learning community and a comprehensive fantasy football resource library, both unique to fantasy sports."
Members can purchase a season-long subscription to the camp for $14.99 during the site's first week by using the coupon code "launch." Camp dues are $19.99 if purchased after August 1.
All subscriptions last for the length of the camp, which starts again each Memorial Day with new content for the upcoming season.
