NFL Legends Join Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football '07 to Benefit All Stars Helping Kids
Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) July 10, 2007 -- Hall of Famers Marcus Allen, Michael Irvin and Ronnie Lott are just a few of the NFL Legends who will be helping fantasy football owners draft their teams at the All Stars Helping Kids Fantasy Football League Draft Party, hosted by Yahoo! Sports, Friday, July 20 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, it was announced today.
The event will be held in "Light," the Nightclub at Bellagio from 6:30-9:30 and will include dinner, silent and live auctions and, of course, the draft. All Stars Helping Kids has partnered with Yahoo! Sports, the leader in fantasy sports online, to host the league and provide its fantasy football expert Brandon Funston for analysis.
Team owners will be joined by an NFL Legend, who will offer advice on draft day and throughout the season. In addition to Allen, Irvin and Lott, some of the participating legends include Tim Brown, Ted Hendricks, Ken Houston and Lynn Swann.
League entry fees are $15,000 for four person teams with a few spots still available. All money generated will benefit All Stars Helping Kids. The winning team will receive a $20,000 donation in their name to their favorite charity and an all expense paid trip for four to Hawaii. The package will include luxury accommodations and golf in Maui and Oahu as well as tickets to the Pro Bowl in Honolulu, February 9, 2008.
A limited number of general admission tickets to attend the exclusive draft party and meet the NFL legends are available to the public by either visiting the All Stars Helping Kids website or StubHub at www.allstarshelpingkids.com or www.stubhub.com. Tickets are $500 and include deluxe accommodations at the Bellagio on July 20, entrance into the draft party, dinner and access to the silent and live auctions.
All proceeds from the event will benefit high-achieving programs including the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) and Sports4Kids. Corporate sponsors for the event include First Republic Bank, RealGM.com, StubHub, Vector Balance and Yahoo! Sports.
